The person in second pic is Maurits Cornelis Escher usually referred to as M. C. Escher. He was a Dutch graphic artist.
He is known for his often mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints. These feature impossible constructions, explorations of infinity, architecture, and tessellations. The first pic is of Drawing Hands, which is a lithograph by M. C. Escher, first printed in January 1948.
