Due to some action of P&G, something got vacant which Google bid for but ultimately it went to a novice company.

  1. umm... I Know that one!!:P The G of the Gillette which went to Genpact instead of google...frankly speaking,good thing too..feel it would would have looked on google.!
    isnt that that the answer MODERATORG..... :)

    The answer is ticker symbol G on NYSE. Earlier it was held by Gillette. After P&G acquired Gillette, the symbol went vacant. Genpact, which was started by GE, and Google applied for the symbol but it was assigned to Genpact.
